Back From Batsday at The Park: Thanks Noah Korda of 'Fright Night' fame for arranging a spectacular event at Bats Day at The Park at The Sheraton Anaheim Hotel at Disneyland on Saturday.

We sold tons of "Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell" and Girls and Corpses t-shirts and it didn't hurt that artistic contributers: Eric Pigors, D.W. Frydendahl and Mike Soz were also exhibiting in the vendors room for The Bats Day Black Market.

Thousands of goth-ers gathered in purple and black relagia for the three day event, to compare tatts and piercings while visiting Snow White's evil goth queen.

Remember us telling you about MAXIM UK edition yakking about GirlsandCorpses.com and SATAN'S 3-RING CIRCUS OF HELL? Well the MAXIM British Edition is on stands throughout the US now. MAXIM British Edition is not quite the UK edition of Maxim, nor is it quite the US edition. it is in fact, some oddball hybrid. its kind of like a UK Maxim tailored for American audiences. Why? I've no freaking clue. But you can pick it up at Borders, Barnes & Nobles, and other fine vendors anywhere and everywhere that you find them.

YEAH, YEAH. WE'RE AMERICANS. WE'VE SEEN ELISHA CUTHBERT BEFORE. ALTHOUGH NOT WITH SO MUCH CLOTHES ON. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE TWO UK GIRLS IN BLACK BIKINIS?

RETURN FROM THE BORDERLANDS
Thank you Alan Beatts of Borderlands Books (San Francisco) for hosting our jam packed SCOF signing and giving us free beers! Also, special thanks to artists: Alec Pardee (Eye Suck), Jim Smith (Ren & Stimpy) and Feo Amante for signing at the big event. Jim and Feo had a World Record fourteen hour trip driving up to San Francisco from L.A., and searching for me after they arrived in the Bay Area (at 4:30 in the morning), turned to the other and mumbled, "So you brought the address to the hotel, right?" They wound up at a 24 hour diner in the seedier part of Castro (is there a non-seedy part?), drowning in bad coffee, while trying not to get mugged, But, on other signing trip news, I finally got to hear hear Jim Smith play acoustic guitar duet, with an amazing local musician, Marco "The Deadly" Finn. Amazing blues and jazz - and with no cover charge! Jim Smith, a surly Texan, who was a rodeo clown before they tossed him out for riding the bulls in a way unintended by God - wrote and plays the theme song on "The Ren & Stimpy Show." Finally, had the great pleasure of meeting myself, or at least the other Robert Steven Rhine, a relative living up in SF, who has been hitting on women for years using my Non-de Plume. Apparently, to greater success.

THE CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF ABNORMAL ARTS
We had a blast at Fright Night at The CIA. Good goth-ed out crowd. Sold a bunch of my new book SATAN'S 3-RING CIRCUS OF HELL. Kevin Klemm's corpse, Rotten Eddie, was a scream and the bell of the ball. Girls seem to dig the corpses and Eddie was no exception, as we got him some loving in the back of a hearse by an affectionate brunette and a wild child named Nicki. I think Brett's Barris's purple dragster hearse added a nice romantic touch. Brett's father, George Barris, designed the coolest cars in motion picture and TV history, including the original Bat Mobile, The Munster Coach, Starsky and Hutch car, etc. Here's KARGOYLE, the car Brett brought to Fright Night with Rotten Eddie at the wheel. The pics, with the girl in the back of the hearse, will be in the next issue of Girls and Corpses Magazine.

Special thanks at the event go to Noah Korda, the proprietor of Fright Night and to The CIA - the craziest ass venue in LA or, maybe, anywhere. Also, to all the artists who showed up: FRANK FORTE, TONE RODRIGUEZ, ERIC PIGORS, MARK COVELL, MIKE SOSNOWSKI, JACOB HAIR, D.W. FRYDENDALL and, of course, our very own Eddie Munster, FEO AMANTE. SAN FRANCISCO BOUND
Robert S. Rhine flies up to San Francisco this weekend for a signing of, aw hell, you know! THE BOOK! Among the gathered artists signing with him will be Tim and Joe Vigil, Spain Rodriguez, Jim Smith, and of course, Feo "I love a road trip" Amante.

Local mag, SF Weekly, has got Robert covered here.

The signing takes place at Borderlands Books, hosted by Alan Beatts and crew.

Also coming up this week, pics from the night The Grin Creeper and his Circus visited the CIA. No, not the government bureaucracy, but the California Institute of Abnormalarts.

MATTHEW MCGRORY 1973 - 2005
Actor Matthew McGrory, whom we met at the Fangoria Days of Darkness convention this year, died in his Los Angeles home on Tuesday. Paramedics at the scene said he died of apparent natural causes though this is not the coroner's report. At the convention, Robert and Feo approached him like the goofballs they are, asking if we could get a picture of him with Robert's Satan comic, and he graciously agreed - even getting a kick out of the comic and really reading it while Feo took his picture.

We were looking forward to seeing Matt at more conventions, but this was not to be. Matthew McGrory died at the age of 32.

CLEVELAND ROCKS!
Thanks to WMMS Radio 100.7 (Cleveland's Rock Station morning drive), Sean, Cristi, Hunter and Hollywood, who had the balls to be the first radio station to interview Girls and Corpses Publisher / Editor-In-Chief Robert Steven Rhine, beating out L.A.'s KROQ Radio - who chickened out at the last minute.

It's absolutely amazing. Filled with Circus sideshow memorabilia: the mummy of alligator boy, mermaids, shrunken heads, freaky strange shit, etc. They have movie screens all over and specialize in campy horror/sci-fi of yore.
And best yet, they serve booze!!
They get a nice crowd and It's a real party atmosphere so invite all your friends!

SATAN'S FIRST GASP
Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell is now for sale at the infamous LAST GASP COMICS in San Francisco, run by Ron Turner, the Godfather of underground comics. Last Gasp spawned (among others) ZAP Comix, Slow Death, with such artistic luminaries as R. Crumb and Spain Rodriguez (who's artwork is featured in Satan's 3-Ring Circus of Hell").

Last Gasp is one of the largest and oldest publishers and purveyors of underground comic books in the world, as well as being a distributor of all sorts of weird 'n' wonderful subversive literature, graphic novels, tattoo and art books.

MAXIM UK LIKES SATAN'S CIRCUS
July was one hot month in more ways than one, and Satan's Circus has never been hotter than it was at the San Diego COmic Con.

But this runaway train is still running!

Robert S. Rhine is getting loads of attention for both his website, Girls and Corpses, and his comic (NOW RELEASED!) SATAN'S 3-RING CIRCUS OF HELL.

Lad magazine, MAXIM UK, admiring the satirical nature of Girls and Corpses, did a two page spread of Cassie and Maile for their September issue - with a corpse (Corpse provided by corpse artiste extraordinaire, Kevin Klemp). Maxim UK also covered Rhine's Satan comic in their Likey Tree feature page.
