BARCLAY
BOOKS ANNOUNCES SPECTRAL VISIONS
St. Petersburg, Florida-
Barclay
Books LLC. is pleased to announce the launch of Spectral
Visions, a new imprint specifically devoted to horror and supernatural
suspense.
Says Marcus
Stevens, Director of Marketing, “Spectral Visions is designed to showcase
many of the exciting new voices in the horror genre, as well as provide
another avenue of publication for those already established in their craft.
For too many years horror has been the poor stepchild of the US publishing
industry, ignored by all but Leisure Books and a few small press publishers.
We believe that many excellent writers have been overlooked because they
have chosen to write in this genre. Barclay is determined to help correct
this oversight. With Spectral Visions, Barclay intends to bring horror
writers back into the light of day and onto the bookstore shelves.”
Beginning
with the publication of RIVERWATCH by Joseph Nassise (to
be reviewed this month -Feo), Barclay will publish 9 other Spectral
Vision titles in 2001, including
NIGHT TERRORS
by Drew Williams,
THIRD RING by Phillip Tomasso, and
PHANTOM FEAST by Diana Barron.
Roughly two
books per month will be released from July until December 2001. Barclay
intends to expand the line for the 2002 publishing season. The majority
of titles will be in trade paperback format, with the possibility of hard
cover titles still being considered.
Barclay Books
LLC is a mid-sized publishing house based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
One of the fastest growing publishing houses in America, Barclay currently
represents 16 writers and plans on releasing 26 titles in 2001.
Interested
writers should contact publisher Becki McNeel at Becki@Barclaybooks.com for more information.
