As director Martin Scorsese fielded questions from a handful of reporters at a Manhattan hotel, one could clearly spot several thick wrinkles lining his forehead, just above his bushy black eyebrows and oversized glasses. The shoulder-length black mane he donned four decades ago while changing the scope of Hollywood with his violent tales of urban guilt, including Mean Streets, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, gave way to much shorter, thinner strands of gray and white hair.
