Then they started ordering videos for him online.

This month, "Battlefield Earth," the blockbuster bomb based on the novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, won the Razzie for "Worst Movie of the Decade." J.D. Shapiro, the film's first screenwriter, accepted the award in person. Shapiro, who also wrote the screenplay for "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," "We Married Margo," and is developing a King Arthur spoof called "524 AD" (524AD.com), explains what it's like to be attached to one of Hollywood's most notorious flops.

You are still digging ALICE IN WONDERLAND, which finally fell to #2 after 3 weeks at #1. Granted that's no AVATAR, but then, what is?
SHUTTER ISLAND dropped from #7 to #8 this week. It's been out for 6 weeks so, while you're not quite digging it, you're certainly not burying it either.
Speaking of AVATAR, it finally said Buh-Bye to the top ten after 15 long weeks, dropping from #8 to off the charts at #11 this week.
YOU BURIED IT
No question, hardly anyone is watching REPO MEN in the first place. Yall are simply burying this puppy! I can't blame you, the trailer for this film sucked! The trailer is nto only uncompelling, but appears to give away the whole movie including the end, giving you no reason to watch it. REPO MEN fell from its opening slot at #4 to #9 this week. |

YOU DUG IT
For the second huge week in a row, Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND wows you! Alice didn't just claim the top spot, it earned more than 5 times the weekend take of #2. ALICE IN WONDERLAND, at #1 and in just its second week, has reached its box office break even mark.
You're also digging SHUTTER ISLAND, though not by much. For such a high pedigree it's doing moderately well though likely won't see profitability upon leaving the top ten. Still, it's passed it's box office break even mark.
It goes without saying that you still dig AVATAR now in its 13th week and finally saying Hello to #7.
YOU BURIED IT
Despite the fact that I really enjoyed THE CRAZIES at its initial screening, I had no idea that when the buffoons who presented this seemingly near perfect picture said they needed to polish it up, by polish they meant absolutely crap it up with a loud banging noise (to benighted dimwits its meant to scare but to real people it just irritates)
in the form of a sound effect or musical sting. I originally gave this movie 4 Shriek Girls. But the version as is being seen in theaters now just barely gets 2. That's polish? Whose wretchedly stupid idea was that? And how can someone who is so insufferably dumb still keep their freaking job? I hope the incompetent fools who forever screwed up this otherwise cool movie wind up living under a bridge somewhere. In its third week, THE CRAZIES drops from #6 to #10. |
