UPDATES
Anyone can start a worthless flame war online and it happens hundreds of times a day, every day. But this issue is different due to the authors involved, their shared experiences with a specific publisher, and the track record we're seeing. As I have no direct experience in this matter, this page is an aggregate of blogs and news from established writers and those who have had direct experience.
BACK STORY
I first read about this from "Friends" on Facebook.
What got my attention was not that this story was coming off a single disgruntled writer, but that two distinct writers, seemingly independent of each other, were writing about having the same problems stemming from the same publisher of the same anthology that was just released.
Worse than the corrections of these author's work actually being incorrect, the corrections weren't consistent (the title of one story changed from the index to the actual page where the story began and both were poor spelling or grammar).

'Terminator' actor Nick Stahl missing, wife says
The actor who played John Connor in "Terminator 3," Nick Stahl (DISTURBING BEHAVIOR, SIN CITY, TERMINATOR 3), is missing according to his wife.
Law enforcement officials confirmed to TMZ that Stahl's wife filed a missing person's report with the L.A.P.D. on Monday saying she last saw the 32-year-old actor on May 9.

For Ridley Scott, a revered helmer who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003, his upcoming film Prometheus would add to a significant body of work that includes Blade Runner and Thelma & Louise — and give him his first mega-blockbuster since 2000's Gladiator. Scott's new movie has gone from being a prequel to Alien to a self-contained story starring Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Noomi Rapace. It only makes passing reference to its 1979 inspiration and pays heavy tribute to author Erich von Daniken's ideas in his 1968 book Chariots of the Gods? — which argued that we are not alone and another sentient entity may have spawned us.

FilmDistrict has acquired Intrepid Pictures' horror project "Oculus," to be directed by Mike Flanagan from a script he co-wrote with Jeff Howard.
Film, based on Flanagan's short of the same name, is produced and fully finaced by Intrepid's Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans with company's Anil Kurian executive producing.

HOUSE OF DRACULA
So a big bat changes to a man with a top hat, tilted at a rakish angle. He checks out some pretty young woman sleeping in bed, then walks down the steps to the ground below and surreptitiously enters a sleeping man's house. The man wakes and batman presents himself as Baron Latos. He asks for shelter in the castle basement from the total stranger, Dr. Franz Edelmann (Onslow Stevens: THEM!), who owns the house, and engages him in a discussion in vampirism - all at 5:00 in the freaking morning. Dr. Abelman is nothing if not gregarious.
Baron Latos: Dr. Edelmann, do you believe in the immortality of the soul?
Dr. Edelmann: Naturally, being a religious man.
Baron Latos: Of the body?
Dr. Edelmann: Medical science refutes such a thing.
Yeah, it's tough finding a middle ground between those two.
Baron Latos: You doubt the supernatural?
Dr. Edelmann: I find it difficult to believe that a human being can turn himself into a bat.

HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN
After skipping out on THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN, Boris Karloff was back in what would be the final sequel of the FRANKENSTEIN movies. There would be more Universal Frankenstein movie offshoots (there was already FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN a year earlier with Bela Lugosi as the creature), but this would be the final film about just the creature alone (in a manner of speaking). As with THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN, Universal Pictures dropped its very successful policy of having the Director also be the producer. The results were less than mediocre with THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN (also the shortest of the movies, clocking in at 68 minutes), and with this final outing, Director Erle C. Kenton was just the director. Paul Malvern was the producer. Though Curt Siodmak had his name attached as story writer (Curt won his star in 1941 writing the highly successful THE WOLF MAN), Edward T. Lowe wrote the actual screenplay.
The movie begins on a dark and stormy night (whats new?). A couple of horse drawn wagons roll by. On them is touted, Professor Lampini's Chamber of Horrors: Dracula.
Meanwhile, at Nuestadt Prison, Dr. Gustav Neiman (Boris Karloff: FRANKENSTEIN, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, ISLE OF THE DEAD, BEDLAM, BLACK SABBATH, TARGETS), kept in a prison cell, strangles his jailer through his bars until the man returns his chalk.
