"Ghost Brothers of Darkland County" is a collaboration between John Mellencamp and Stephen King that features an all-star cast of singers on the soundtrack album, which Speakeasy premieres today in its entirety.

When I finished one of my photo ops in Ottawa, Nathan Fillion (DRACULA 2000, FIREFLY, SLITHER, SERENITY, WHITE NOISE 2, DR. HORRIBLE'S SING-ALONG BLOG) was doing one of his in the photo area next to mine. Anne was with me, and I know that she loves him as much as I do, so I grabbed her hand and ran with her into Nathan's line.
I walked over to Nathan, and said to him, so Anne couldn't hear, "Would you literally sweep her off her feet?" He laughed and said he would. Then he turned to me and said, "And you stand here, and look sad."
So I did and this happened:

'Ghost ship' goes missing in the Atlantic four months after it snapped loose from dock where it was going to be scrapped

A rat-infested and toxic Russian cruise ship cast adrift in the Atlantic Ocean has apparently vanished.
The MV Lyubov Orlova - named after a Soviet actress - broke free in January when it was being tugged to be scrapped.
It was being tracked by US intelligence officials but has not been seen since March and there are fears it has sunk.

The producers of a new movie called "Europa Report" have released a new trailer about their film, which features a near-future mission to Jupiter's moon, Europa, in search of extraterrestrial life. From the trailer, the film looks to be of extremely high quality, and it stars Sharlto Copley (District 9), with music score from composer Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, Eureka).
And while this is a sci-fi flick, the makers of "Europa Report" say they have steeped it in real science.

Our friends and alumni Gary Graham (The Crusader, UNIVERSAL DEAD) and Doug Jones (PAN'S LABYRINTH, HELLBOY [all], UNIVERSAL DEAD) shot a movie earlier this year with Horror Thriller veteran Tony Todd (THE CROW, CANDYMAN, FINAL DESTINATION [all]). DUST OF WAR also stars Bates Wilder (SHUTTER ISLAND), and in her first feature film, newcomer Jordan McFadden. DUST OF FEAR Co-Writer and Producer, Steven Luke on his first feature film, also stars as well. DUST OF WAR is directed by yet another first time feature filmmaker, Andrew Kightlinger.
Damn! A whole buncha newbies, fresh off a short film shake-out!
So what kind of movie are we talking about here?
Alien Invasion, people! Freaking evil aliens and the traitorous humans who welcome them! DUST OF WAR takes place after the fact.
It is in this post-apocalyptic future America, that a soldier fends off a vicious warmonger to save/protect a girl fated as the savior of humanity.
She carries... what? A baby? A disease that will kill our evil alien overlords?
I've no clue so, I'll have to watch the movie.
Up to now, the yawn-worthy trailers for DUST OF WAR (like this one) weren't grabbing me, but the latest brings it all together!
