FANGORIA'S DAYS OF DARKNESS 2005 WEEKEND
Well, we kicked some major corpse butt at Fangoria's Weekend Of Horrors in Burbank. The two day con was jam packed with pierced, tattooed, bloodied and freaked-out fans who grabbed the final collectors copies of CHICKEN SOUP FOR SATAN, SATAN GONE WILD, and GIRLS & CORPSES T-Shirts. Fangoria even had to turn away a hundred screaming fans (probably screaming because the couldn't get past the red velvet rope). But clearly horror is going strong. We also presented information and flyers for my upcoming graphic novel SATAN'S 3-RING CIRCUS OF HELL to giddy response. Our booth recouped it's money at noon on the first day! I want to thank Fangoria for putting together one of the best events ever! Also, to all the fans of Satan who stopped buy our table to buy books and t-shirts. You are the ones supporting this dream to bring horror anthologies back from the grave to the grand EC days of "Creepshow," "The Vault of Horror" and "Tales of The Crypt."
Some of the scary celebs who stopped in to say howdy to Satan were Eli Roth (CABIN FEVER), Matt McGrory (HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES), Brinke Stevens (NECROMANCY), Reggie Bannister (PHANTASM), Joe Dante (THE HOWLING), Tom Sullivan (THE EVIL DEAD), Sid Haig (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS), Steve Railsback (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS), Bill Moseley (HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES), and, of course, The Ladies of THE EVIL DEAD.
A number of the SATAN crew turned out including, Robert S. Rhine, Frank Forte, D. W. Frydendall, Jacob Hair, Eric Pigors, and Mike Soznowski.
Super special thanks go to my goul pal Feo Amante who stuck with me at the table for both days and really cranked up the press machine to a frenzy. You can hang with me at my booth anytime, Feo! Now, I have to get back to finishing up SATAN'S 3-RING CIRCUS OF HELL! It's going to the printer in three days!!! I'm fried. My eyes are hanging out of my head. I haven't slept in two days. Even vampires need to sleep!
