!!!THE SCIENCE MOMENT!!!: EUREKA! Could this really be? Could you remove a human head and transplant it onto another body? Back in the mid 20th century, Dr. Robert White successfully proved the efficacy of the first head transplant of a mammal. He was able to repeat his method, others were able to repeat his method, making it fact. His methods were duplicated by Russian scientist, Dr. Vladamir Negovskii, a pioneer in reanimation in his own right. Since the 1960s, humanity has had the capability of keeping a decapitated human head alive for days. Which means that any damage to the person's body could be repaired without worrying that the damaged body would kill the brain. Which means that millions of people have died needlessly in the past 60 years? So why was this research, which could have saved so many and cured so much, stopped? The very idea made people squeemish. The issue of whether or not a human head can be successfully kept alive independent of the body, isn't scientifically questionable, we know it's a fact. The issue is ethically questionable. Bear in mind, surgeons don't have to remove the head while they repair the rest of the body, they only need to keep it alive through alternate means that keep it independent of say, the heart, lungs, anything the brain has an immediate need for during an 8 to 24 hour operation*. One thing though. Sitting in a pan of whatever and without any lungs or throat, a human head wouldn't talk. The following are from various documentaries on Dr. Robert White. Depending on who is posting these videos, you will see the indifference or the outrage of those who only see the operation and can't look beyond it to the life-saving technique. But it still makes people, including surgeons, squeemish. It wasn't just happening in the U.S., but in the Soviet Union under the direction of Dr. Vladimir Demikhov.
Research continues, Humans who have their brains reanimated after they die could be locked in an eternal 'living HELL' and suffer a 'fate worse than death' That's according to Nottingham Trent ethics and philosophy lecturer Benjamin Curtis who made the comments in light of controversial experiments on pig brains. Last month, Yale University announced it had successfully resurrected the brains of more than 100 slaughtered pigs and kept them alive for up to 36 hours. Continued at DailyMail.

Some people think I'm more important than you (I don't, but they do. You know how they are) and this is their (HA!) evidence. Matt Jarbo's interview with Feo Amante at The Zurvivalist.
