You are probably thinking of the book trailer for Daniel H. Wilson's ROBOPOCALYPSE.
This novel hit the ground running in 2010 with a great blurb by Stephen King
and everything fell into place after that. It went on to become a New York Times best seller and quickly optioned into a movie. Not just any movie. Stephen Spielberg is not only producing it, he's directing it, and involved in making Daniel's novel AMPED as well! Plus the screenplay adaptation is by Drew Goddard (CLOVERFIELD, CABIN IN THE WOODS)! All of which is a whirlwind of damn good fortune that left Daniel Wilson gasping for breath.
The expected release date for ROBOPOCALYPSE is July 3, 2013.
But it never happened.
Then it was supposed to be 2014.
But it never happened.
Now it's 2023
